Hi Stephanie First, you will need an appropriate USB cable. If you don't already have one, get something like Next, you will need to go to the Yamaha support site and find the USB MIDI drivers for your keyboard.

Hi guys, Had been having trouble finding a windows 7 driver for the DGX 505. In the end, just downloaded a driver from a newer model keybaord. The windows 7 driver for those keyboards WORKS FINE WITH THE 505!
